Letter to Customers from Randall Lipps, Chairman, President, CEO, and Founder

March 30, 2020

These are unprecedented times. The swift impact that coronavirus (COVID-19) has had on our personal and professional lives is staggering. However, your response to this crisis on the front lines is nothing short of heroic. On behalf of the entire Omnicell team, thank you for your extreme commitment and tireless efforts.

Omnicell is operating at full strength and standing by you in the fight against this pandemic. Over the past few weeks, our teams have mobilised to support your critical needs, while protecting the health and safety of our employees and ensuring business continuity.

I cannot stress enough that supporting you during this critical time is our top priority, which is why I’m reaching out today to provide an update on the actions we’ve taken to support you.

"Our mission at Omnicell is to be your most trusted partner for medication management. That mission has never been more critical. We are here for you as we navigate the next few months together."

New Rapid Support Services

As many of you are rapidly expanding bed capacity and supporting infrastructure, we are working vigilantly to provide new tools and support services that will enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.  These include:

  • Rapid Response XT Cabinets: To meet the need for increased capacity, we have fast-tracked production and shipping of Rapid Response XT Cabinets, preconfigured medication and supply cabinets designed with clinician input. Speed is critical, so we have removed barriers to ordering, shipping, and installation to allow for quick deployment.
  • Rapid Onboarding: Many customers are requesting refresher training for new and/or returning clinical staff who need to quickly onboard. We have created e-learning courses on myOmnicell for Automated Dispensing Cabinets and Anesthesia Workstations to help new employees access this important training at their convenience.
  • Rapid DIY Service: Respecting social distancing concerns, we have created a dedicated XT DIY Service page on myOmnicell that offers training to address the most common XT cabinet service issues. You will have the ability to quickly access the right information, without having to wait for support personnel.

Safety

Omnicell’s Pandemic Response Team has established procedures and protocols designed to mitigate risk of exposure to the virus and potential impact on business operations. We are prioritising travel that is essential to implementations and support, while prohibiting non-essential travel and adopting a global protocol for employees whose roles can be carried out remotely. This will help to maintain a safe working environment for customers and employees who are carrying out business-critical activities, including service, implementation, training, supply chain, and certain R&D activities.

Business Operations

Like you, Omnicell is an essential business, and our teams are exempt from the stay-at-home directives that have been issued. All of our teams have enacted business continuity plans. Manufacturing and supply chain are fully operational. Our service and maintenance teams are at full capacity in the field to offer technical assistance, and we continue to support implementation and training.

Our mission at Omnicell is to be your most trusted partner for medication management. That mission has never been more critical. We are here for you as we navigate the next few months together. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at OmnicellPandemicResponse@omnicell.com with any questions. We also encourage you to visit our  COVID-19 Response Plan web page for the latest updates.

Thank you for all that you are doing – today and every day.

Sincerely,

    Randy Lipps
