David J. Vanella

David Vanella joined Omnicell in January 2016. Overseeing global quality operations for the company, Mr. Vanella’s primary role is to ensure end-to-end quality from development through manufacturing, distribution, and end-customer use. He is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction to achieve quality and regulatory excellence across the organization. Previously he served as Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for Fresenius Medical Care, a renal care products and services provider after joining Renal Solutions, a venture-backed startup that developed a sorbent-based kidney home dialysis machine. Earlier in his career Mr. Vanella spent over a decade at Philips Respironics establishing and developing their quality and regulatory systems. He holds a BS in Engineering and an MBA from Duquesne University and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Kidney Foundation.
