Streamlining Inventory and Efficiency
Real-Time Tracking
When an item with an RFID tag enters or exits the cabinet, the reader picks up the tag's unique ID. This data is then sent to a central system, providing real-time information on what's inside the cabinet, enabling: management of product expiry, automatic restocking, cost allocation per patient or procedure, and batch/serial number traceability.
Reducing Manual Work
The cabinet can automatically record when items are removed and returned, as well as trigger restock orders when supplies run low. This reduces manual work and ensures staff have necessary supplies on hand.
Keeping Track of What's Used
In procedures where multiple supplies are prepared but not all used, the RFID cabinet tracks exactly what was taken, preventing waste and allowing for accurate patient costing.
A High Degree of Security
Access control ensures only qualified staff can open the cabinet, and the log shows exactly who accessed what medical inventory and when.
